Significance of being an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Member:

Staying up-to-date with nutrition information is an essential part of being a dietitian or future dietitian. Receiving Academy newsletters helps me stay current on various nutrition topics. Additionally, I appreciate how Academy members can join specialty groups. I joined the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group (WMDPG) since the lab I work for specializes in weight management. The WMDPG has helped our lab recruit dietitians to work for us and they funded my FNCE 2024 registration by providing an opportunity for students to apply for a stipend. Receiving this stipend gave me the initiative to attend my first FNCE this year in Minneapolis, MN!
